DEATH OF DU MAURIER. United Press Association—By Electrlo Telegraph—Copyright (Received April 12, 5.5 p.m.) LONDON, April 11. Sir Gerald du Maurier, death occurred to-day, underwent an internal operation, and he appeared to be recovering when he suffered a relapse. His wife was called to his beside, but he did not regain consciousness. Newspapers and actresses pay tribute to him as the godfather of the stage. Mr John Collier, the artist, aged 84, also died to-day. Mr Collier and Sir Gerald du Maurier were neighbours alj Hampstead.
