VERDICT OF SUICIDE

RELIEF WORKER TAKES HIS LIFE. By Telegraph—Press Association CHRISTCHURCH, April 8. Simeon Brophy, aged 41, was found in a small room adjoining the bar i t the Royal Hotel on Friday with his throat cut and a razor lying beside him. He was taken to the public hospital where he died last evening. An inquest was held to-day before the Coroner, Mr H. A. Young, who returned a verdict that Brophy died from a wound self inflicted while suffering from epilipetic fits. Papers found on Brophy indicated that his last address was the Public Works Department camp at Lake Sumner.
