GERMANY’S FISCAL POLICY APPREHENSION IN ENGLAND United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright LONDON, March 26. Wool circles are apprehensive that Germany’s prohibition may affect competition at the next London sales, as the Germans were the chief Continental operators at the last series. Some traders are of the opinion that the prohibitions may not be enforced in the case of Australian and New Zealand raw wool, but brokers and importers are the advisability of postponing the opening sales from April 26 to May 1. The opinion is expressed here that when the new season’s wool sales open in Sydney in August. Hitherto wool destined for China has been bought by Japanese on behalf of Chinese interests. The latter are now training their own buyers.
