LEMON PIE.
6 ozs. Fether Flake, i pint water, 1 tablespoon butter, 1 good tablespoon cornflour, 1 lemon, grated rind and juice. Three tablespoons sugar, 2 eggs, yolks and whites separated. Method: Line an open tart tin with the Fether Flake. Cook In good oven about 20 minutes. Boil water, butter, sugar and lemon rind in saucepan, add the cornflour mixed with the lemon juice, add beaten yolks and cook for two or three minutes. Pour into Fether Flake case. Beat whites stiffly, add 2 tablespoons sugar, pile on top of the tart. Bake a pale brown in cool oven about i hour. Fether-Flake is puff pastry ready for i the oven. Nothing to add and no mixing needed. 8d per lb at the Erflest Adams Ltd. Cake Shop.
