HEAVY CHARGES ON FUTURE
GERMAN LOANS TO BALANCE BUDGET HAS HITLER FAILED THE NATION? United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright (Received March 26, 5.5 p.m.) BERLIN, March 25. The Finance Minister, Herr von Krosick, announcing that the money to finance the gigantic employment programme is not available from the budget, says it must be borrowed, entailing a heavy charge on the future, because the programme will absorb the £300,000,000 exclusive of £150,000,000 from the previous Budget. Deficits are the only alternative. There would be a continuance of huge deficits, entailing short term credits, without opening sources whence they could be repaid. NAZI MUTTERINGS HAS HITLER FAILED GER?-t\NY? United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright BERLIN, March 25. The Berlin correspondent of “The Sunday Times” emphasises the anxiety due to the fall in foreign trade. If raw materials are not available Herr Hitler’s vast employment campaign will fail. For instance, it has been planned that millions of workers shall parade on Monday in the new blue uniform, providing employment for thousands of textile workers, and tailors, but this has now been abandoned. The Storm troopers are incensed and some have tom up their brown shirts and refused to parade. Meanwhile there is constant muttering among the Nazis, complaining that Herr Hitler is not fulfilling his promises and people are asking whether he is losing his grip. Extremists also are agitating against Herr Schacht, whom they accuse of withholding credit, preventing the relief unemployment and the development of agriculture.
