NOTES. The Holmdale, which was delayed in port on Friday night, completed loading on Saturday morning and sailed about noon for Wellington, Picton and Wanganui, via Lyttelton. The Gale was an arrival on Saturday. She arrived from Dunedin and, after loading for Wellington and Wanganui, departed for Lyttelton. The Waikouaiti reached Timaru from Dunedin yesterday morning and is at No. 3 wharf. She will discharge transhipments here to-day and after loading for her usual Australian ports will proceed to Lyttelton. The motor vessel Holmglen arrived from the south yesterday on her first trip since her mishap at Pompey’s POlar. She will load for Wellington, Wanganui, New Plymouth and Waikato to-day and should sail this evening for Lyttelton.

The Opihi is scheduled to call here from the south to-day. She is to load for Wellington, Nelson and New Plymouth before departing for the north.

The Taranaki. The Shaw, Savill and Albion motorship Taranaki is scheduled to lea''e London on March 28 for Suva, Port Chalmers, Lyttelton and Timaru. She is due at Port Chalmers about May 9. The Port Curtis. The Port Curtis is due at Opua from England in ballast to-day to commence loading, her other loading ports being Auckland, Wellington and Napier. She is scheduled to reach Auckland on March 22 and to sail from Napier for London, via Cape Horn and Montevideo, on April 7. Narbada in the East. The Union Company’s chartered steamer Narbada is scheduled to leave Calcutta early in April for Rangoon, Penang, Singapore and Samarang oo complete loading for Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton and Dunedin. Karetu’s Altered Itinerary. The Karetu, which left for Newcastle last Tuesday evening, will not load in South Australia for New Zealand, as was intended. Owing to the Waipahi being laid up in Sydney the Karetu will leave Newcastle for Suva direct to load for Auckland. She is scheduled to leave Suva for Auckland on March 29. The Waihemo, leaving Sydney for Suva on March 20,, will take cargo for Suva, Nukualofa and Apia instead of the Waipahi. The Norfolk. Reported to have cleared Panama last Monday the Norfolk is en route from Glasgow to New Zealand in ballast to load for Great Britain. She is due in New Zealand about April 3. After loading at southern ports not announced the vessel will complete loading at Auckland. She is scheduled to clear that port for London and Hook of Holland on 4pril 23. Wainui’s Transhipments. The Union Company’s Wainui, which is due at Wellington next Thursday from Melbourne, via southern ports, brings transhipments ex the Viminale, Orsova and Chinkoa. Port Pirie From Home. The C. and D. Line’s Port Pirie arrived at Picton on Thursday afternoon from England. She is to leave there to-day for Napier, Wanganui and Wellington, being due at the last mentioned port on March 29.
