BASKETBALL
SOUTH CANTERBURY ASSOCIATION. The affairs of the South Canterbury Basketball Association for the 1933 season were wound up at a meeting held on Friday evening. There were present: Mr J. C. Hayhurst (president), Mrs H. V. O. O’Connor, Misses H. K. Lovell-Smith, M. Crossman, N. Pearce, A. Brooks, Malthus and Sewell. The president reported having forwarded the New Zealand President’s Shield, of which South Canterbury is joint holders with Waikato and Poverty Bay, on to the Waikato Association. A balance-sheet of the year’s working was tabled for the perusal of members. The date fixed for the annual meeting was April 27. Consideration was given to the suggested constitutiqn of rules, which had been prepared t>y a sub-committee. It was decided to change the colours to bottle green, black and yellow, and to register these and the altered representative costume with the New Zealand Association. With several amendments, the constitution was adopted.
