BAD WEATHER FLIGHT. By Telegraph—Press Association CHRISTCHURCH, March 16. Sir Charles Kingsford Smith in the Southern Cross, set out at 10.45 this morning on a photographic flight over the Southern Alps. He expects to arrive at Invercargill at 5 o’clock. He has several photographers and a motion picture operator aboard. The Southern Cross experienced adverse weather conditions and was unable to follow the West Coast route. The Southern Cross landed at the Taieri aerodrome this evening and will proceed to Balclutha in the morning and thence to Waimate.
