The following list of steamers’ movements is compiled in accordance with advices supplied by agents for the different lines.

NOTES. The Holmdale arrived from Oamaru and Dunedin yesterday to load for Wellington, Picton and Wanganui. Rain delayed loading operations, but she should sail for Lyttelton this morning. The Gale is set down to reach Timaru from the south to-day. After loading for Wellington and Wanganui she is to depart for Lyttelton. The Kiwitea should arrive to-morrow from Lyttelton to discharge coal from the West Coast. She should get away for Oamaru on Monday evening. The Waipiata is scheduled to leave Dunedin to-day for the north and is due here to-morrow. She will load for Wellington and Auckland on Monday. The Holmglen is expected to reach this port from Dunedin to-morrow. She will load for Wellington, Wanganui, New Plymouth and Waikato on Monday. Waikouaiti To-morrow. The Union Company’s inter-colonial steamer Waikouaiti is due to arrive from Dunedin to-morrow. She has Newcastle and Sydney shipments to discharge here and a number of transhipments. After loading for her usual Australian ports she is to sail on Monday for Lyttelton. Parera Listed. The Parera, which is under charter to the Holm Company, is scheduled to reach Westport from Wellington next Wednesday. After returning to Wellington, she is to begin her first coastal voyage, being due at Dunedin on March 26 and Timaru on March 27. She will load for Wellington, Wanganui, New Plymouth and Waikato. Otaio From Liverpool. The New Zealand Shipping Company’s motor ship Otaio arrived at Auckland from Liverpool on Tuesday afternoon, and is to unload cargo from West Coast ports of Great Bri tain. The vessel left Liverpool on February 3 and experienced generally fair weather on the voyage. From Auckland she will proceed to Wellington, Lyttelton, Dunedin and Timaru to complete discharge. She is due here about March 29. Akaroa Leaves Balboa. The Akaroa, en route from Southampton for Wellington, left Balboa last Saturday afternoon. She is now due at Wellington on March 30, and will complete discharge at Auckland. Report From lonic. The Shaw, Savill, and Albion Company has received a wireless message from the liner lonic, which left Wellington on March 7, reporting that good weather has been experienced since leaving, and that all on board are well. Linseed from South America. The steamer Northmoor is reported to be en route from Diamante, South America, to New Zealand and Sydney with a cargo of linseed. Hertford From Glasgow. The New Zealand Shipping Company’s Hertford, which sailed from Glasgow on March 9, is due to arrive in New Zealand about April 17. Polish Motor Liners. The two motor liners of 15,000 tons gross which are being built at the Montfalcone shipyard, near Trieste, are to be equipped with gyropilots, gyroscopes, and special garages for passengers’ motor cars. The vessel will have a speed of 18 to 20 knots, and will make the passage between Gdynia and New York in eight days, a reduction of four days from the present schedule. Each will accommodate about 800 passengers. The engines will be 12,000 h.p. units of the Sulzer type. The first vessel is to be ready for service the middle of this year, and the second shortly after. A barter arrangement was entered into for these vessels, whereby Italy, as payment for the vessels, receives coal from Poland, and the steel for the ships also has been purchased in Poland.
