FAIRLIE STOCK SALE.
The fortnightly stock sale was held at Fairlie on Tuesday. The yarding, which comprised about 12,000 head, was the largest of the season. There was a good attendance of buyers, and a good clearance was made. The following prices were realised: — Fats.—9 lambs at 18/10, 32 at 20/6, 40 at 20/6, 40 at 23/3, 15 at 20/9, 16 at 23/1, 127 at 22/3; 4 ewes at 21/6, 15 at 15/3, 34 at 13/6, 7 at 15/-; 5 wethers at 23/3, 29 at 22/7, 3 at 19/6, 9 at 19/6, 21 at 21/7. Store sheep.—7s i-bred ewe lambs at 14/9, 39 m.s. lambs at 15/1, 40 wether lambs at 11/9, 16 m.s. lambs at 17/4, 80 a -bred ewe lambs at 14/9, 125 wether lambs at 14/11, 107 X-bred ewe lambs at 19/-, 74 X-bred ewe lambs at 19/1, 126 wether lambs at 13/7, 242 m.s. lambs at '.B/6, 183 m.s. at 15/-, 124 ibred ewe lambs at 21/2, 100 3-bred ewe lambs at 20/-, 270 X-bred ewe lambs at 19/-, 420 3;-bred ewe lambs at 22/9, 1330 ewe lambs, RomneyMerino cross, at 25/4, 108 sound-mouth ewes at 14/5, 43 3-bred 2-tooth ewes at 24/3,’ 39 4, 6 and 8-tooth ewes at 20/8, 61 2-tooth 3-bred ewes at 33/4, 113 2-tooth 3-bred ewes at 30/6, 79 2-tooth X-bred ewes at 25/3, 216 sound-mouth ewes at 19/8, 77 4, 6 and 8-tooth ewes at 18/6, 149 2-tooth 3bred ewes at 29/7, 185 sound-mouth ewes at 21/1, 205 2-tooth 3-bred ewes at 33/-, 200 2,4, 6 and 8-tooth ewes at 18/-; 20 wethers at 16/6, 21 2-tooth wethers at 18/4, 126 2-tooth 3-bred wethers at 15/9, 200 2-tooth 3-bred wethers at 20/-. DAIRY PRODUCE. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Ltd. have received the following message from their London house: — Butter—7l/-. Cheese—White 43/6 to 44/-, coloured 44/6.
