SWIMMING
WEST END CLUB. Although the weather was not favourable for swimming there was an interested number of spectators when the West End Club continued its weekly series of races. The results were:— 50 Yards Juvenile Cup.—Final: R. King 1, E. Dennison 2, L. Hayhurst 3. C 5 2-3 Yards Juvenile Cup.—(Semifinal) : First heat: R. King 1, E. Dennison 2, O. Wilson 3. Second heat: H. Pateman 1, L. Hayhurst 2, H. Pike 3. 220 Yards, West End Ratepayers Cup.—L. W. McGregor 1, Miss A. Keen 2, D. Elder 3. Junior Dive.—H. Pateman 1, Miss B. Wotherspoon 2, Miss Pike 3. The final series of races for the Juvenile, West End Ratepayers, and J. E. Chiles Cups will take place on S turday afternoon. Points for the cups are:— Juvenile Cup—R. King 18pts, E. Dennison 14pts. L. Hayhurst lOpts, Miss L. Wilson lOpts. West End Ratepayers’ Cup—L. McGregor spts, D. Elder 4pts, Miss Keen 2pts.
