LABURNUM DEPARTS
COMMANDER’S FAREWELL MESSAGE. Before the departure of the H.M.S. Laburnum for Dunedin yesterday, Commander A. Maxwell Hyslop addressed the following letter to the Mayor (Mr T. W. Satterthwaite). “H M Ship under my command will leave Timaru for Dunedin to-day (Wednesday). I would like to take this opportunity of informing you that we have enjoyed our visit to Timaru very much Indeed."
