NEWFOUNDLAND MEASURE APPROVED British Official Wireless (Received December 20, 5.5 p.m.) RUGBY, December 19. The House of Commons passed the third reading of the Newfoundland Bill by 293 votes to 52. Filling Vital Posts. The Government is having great difficulty in finding three supermen for the Commission to bring order out of chaos in connection with the bankruptcy of Newfoundland. Mr Malcolm Macdonald told the House of Commons that he was searching every conceivable list, including the Dominion, Colonial and Indian services, but thus far without result, and persons outside the services are being considered, and he invited members to submit names of suitable candidates.
