By a decision of the Appeal Court in New Zealand an estate valued at £250.000 has been inherited by Mr William H. Rhodes-Moorhouse, the 19-year-old son of the late Captain W. B. Rhodes-Mporhouse, V.C. Mr W. H. Rhodes-Moorhouse. who lives with his mother in London, became known as the “Flying Etonian" when he won his pilot’s certificate in 1931, shortly after his 17th birthday and while he was still at Eton. Before he was 18 he had flown all over England and Wales with his mother, who holds a pilot ce tificate. She was one of the first women to fly across the Channel as a passenger. His father was the first pilot to win the V.C. during the war—shortly before he was killed in action The estate is that of the late Hon. Mr W. B. Rhodes, one of the early settlers of Wellington. New Zealand.
