OCCUPANTS ESCAPE SERIOUS INJURY. By Telegraph— Press Association AUCKLAND, December 14. A narrow escape from serious injury was experienced by the occupants of a light motor car which was struck broadside on by the Mount Eden fire I engine to-night. The engine struck a i car driven by Lawrence Bishop, crushing in one side of the vehicle. Bishop escaped with minor abrasions, but a passenger, Stanley Thomson, aged 38. ■ It-ring from head injuries.
