FEARS OF PROFESSIONALISM. FRENCH LAWS TIGHTENED UP. United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright PARIS, December 13. Owing to fear that the French tennis players will be ostracised in England similarly to Rugby players, M. Lacoste, chairman of the Federation’s special committee, states that they are drastically tightening up the amateur rules and have produced a voluminous report defining the duties of the amateur and laying down travelling expenses.
