MAINTENANCE OF CHILD. By Telegraph—Press Association WELLINGTON. December 7. Though strongly opposed by Lady Hunter on the grounds that the amounts specified were inadequate and no provision was made for retrospective payments, terms of a draft order consented to by the other parties making money available for the maintenance of the child Elizabeth, were adopted by his Honour Mr Justice McGregor in the Supreme Court to-day. It | was explained that the estate was pro- ' ducing no income. The terms were for a sum not exceeding £3 a week out of capital while the girl was living with I her mother, and not exceeding £6 a J week if sent to a boarding school. It was mentioned that the rise In 1 wool prices might possibly make the 1 estate income producing, and his Hon- j our said it seemed to him that as soon ] as the condition of the estate improved I I it would be tile guardian’s duty to ap- | ply for an increased allowance.
