“LONE LIVE WAFD”

DEMONSTRATION AT AIRMEN’S MINERAL. United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright (Received December 1. 1.40 a.m.) LONDON, November 30. A Cairo message states that 22,000 people followed the funeral cortege of two Egyptian Air Force officers killed in a recent smash, and converted it into a political demonstration. Many shouts of "Long Live Wafd,” and “Egypt for the Egyptians,” were heard. The police prevented any outbreak of violence. An aeroplane belonging to a squadron of ten built in England for the Egyptian Air Force was on the way to Cairo when it crashed in a ravine near Rouen and caught fire. Two Egyptian occupants were burned to death. Two other machines were forced to land.
