NOTES. The Poolta arrived from Oamaru and Dunedin yesterday and loaded for Wellington, Napier and Gisborne. She sailed later in the day for Lyttelton. The Holmdale reached Timaru from Oamaru yesterday to pick up shipments for Wellington, Picton and Wanganui. She was despatched later for Lyttelton. To take cargo for Wellington, Tauranga, Auckland and Whangarei the Port Whangarei called at Timaru from Dunedin yesterdy. She got away for the north via Lyttelton last evening. The Gale, on the Wellington, Picton and Wanganui run, also was an arrival from the south yesterday. After loading for those ports she sailed for Lyttelton. | The motor vessel Foxton is set down to arrive here from Wellington to-day to load for Foxton. She should return to Lyttelton this evening. Sultan Star Leaves Curacao. Cable advice has been received that the Sultan Star, en route to New Zea- | land in ballast to load for Great Britain, left Curacao on Friday. She J s due at Napier on December 14. Tees Last Trip. The Tees is due back from Waitangi on Sunday. She is to leave Lyttelton on Monday next on her last trip to the Islands until January. She will call at Waitangi. Owenga and Pitt Island, and on returning to Lyttelton will be laid up. Karetu For the East. The Union Company has been advised that the Karetu left Newcastle on November 23 for Penang, where she is due on December 14. She will load there and at Singapore and Samarang for Auckland, Wellington. Lyttelton, Timaru, Dunedin and Bluff. Maui Pomare at Lyttelton. Trie Maui Pomare arrived at Lyttelton on Monday morning from Apia and Nieu after an uneventful trip. She brought 10,000 cases of bananas, more than 6,000 of which were discharged at Lyttelton. The vessel also brought two tons of cocoa-beans for Dunedin, eighty-three cases of pineapples for Lyttelton, and ten tons of general cargo. The following passengers were also brought:—Mr W. Hutton. Mr and Mrs I. Railev and son, Mr and Mrs W. M'Bride and two children. Mr and Mrs W. G. Lofley. Miss Jane Head, Miss J. M. Vcrey and Miss M. R. Lofley. Teakwood Expected. An expected arrival at Auckland this week is the London tanker Teakwood from Black Sea ports with a cargo cf motor spirit for the Associated Motorists’ Petrol Company. The vessel is crossing via the Suez Canal and she cleared Aden on October 15 and Suez the following day. The cargo is for discharge at Auckland. Wellington. Lyttelton and Dunedin. The Teakwood is a vessel of 6.014 tons gross and was built at Newcastle-on-Tyne in 1927 She is owned by the Molasses and General Transport Company, London. N :\\ ZEALAND POUTS.
