GYMNASTIC CHAMPIONSHIPS. The annual gymnastic competitions of the Secondary Schools' Boys’ Class were completed on Friday in the Y.M.C.A. gymnasium. The standard of work displayed was of a very high quality, and there is no doubt that when the boys who took part reach the age of maturity and are able to take part in the Dominion championships, they will give a good account of themselves. The competitions resulted as follows: Parallel bar—H. Kingham, 35pts. 1; W. Bailey, 33pts, 2; A. Rendall, 32pts, 3. Horizontal bar —W. Bailey, 22pts, 1; M. Jordan, 19pts, and F. Walker 19pts (equal) 2. Vaulting horse —H. Kingham, 33ipts, 1; A. Rendall, 3Hpts. 2; M. Jordan, 31pts. 3. The gymnasium championship which is awarded on points gained during the year for attendance, marching, physical exercises and gymnastics, was won by H. Kingham with 2721 points out of a possible 300. W Bailey was second with 267 points, and A. Rendall third with 2661 points.
