PIANOFORTE RECITAL
MRS M. J. READIES PUPILS Mrs M. J. Readie and her pupils gave a most successful concert before a large audience in the Little Playhouse last night. During the evening, Mrs Readie, who wore a frock of black georgette, was the recipient of several beautiful bouquets. Miss Mary Elkis, who completed her A.T.C.L. in June, and passed her L.T.C.L. in the October examinations, was presented by her teacher, Mrs Readie, and the students with a bouquet of vari-coloured flowers. Miss Elkis wore a frock of gold silk. The programme was as under:— Quartette, “In der Halle des Bergkonigs” (Greig), Ist piano, Miss Mary Elkis, L.T.C.L., and Miss E. M. LeeGrainger), Ist piano, Mrs M. J. Readie, 2nd piano, Miss Joan Catherwood; solo, “Melody in F” (Rubinstein), Master Jack Gibson; six “one minute” items played by Misses Margaret Fitzgerald, Mary Sherry, Gertrude Shea, Joan Fitzgerald, Margaret Wurm and Master Brian Murray; duo, “Irish Tune from County Derry” (Lee-Grainger), Ist piano, Mrs M.
