MANAGER’S TRIBUTE 3-4-1 Scrum Popular The Wallaby tour of 1933 is now over, i and the players have broken up and settled down to work again. Only f few stray functions remain of a tom: that apparently every man enjoyed, and a tour which set Australia's name high in the land of the Springbok, says Alan Hulls in the Sydney “Referee.” The N.S.W. and Queensland members of the party arrived in Sydney on Friday, and attended several receptions, and on Saturday night all members were entertained by the N.S.W.R.U. at a dinner at Tattersall’s Club, and afterwards by the Manly Football Club at a dance. . The Queensland members left for Brisbane on Sunday night. And so the 1933 Wallabies broke up after a happy association. Re-unions will be difficult as the players were drawn from three States. It was good to see these Wallabies together, and even the least observant could not but be impressed by the spirit of friendliness among them, and their undisguised admiration for manager Dr Wally Matthews and the captain of few words.
