THE CHURCHES
TO-MORROW’S SERVICES. The services in the Congregational Church, North Street, to-morrow, will be conducted by the Rev. J. Milburn Stewart. The evening subject will be “The Almosts of Life.” The Sunday School anniversary is being celebrated at the Baptist Church to-morrow. Services will be held at 11 a.m., 3 p.m., and 6.30 pun., at each of which choral Items will be given by an augmented children’s choir. Archdeacon Monaghan will preach in the afternoon, other services being addressed by Rev. J. Russell Grave. On Tuesday evening scholars of the Sunday School are presenting a delightful entertainment, to which all are invited. The services In the Tlmaru Methodist churches to-morrow will be as under: At Banks Street both will be taken by the Rev. J. D. McArthur. At Woodlands Street, the Rev. H. L. Flebig, 8.A., will be the preacher at each service, Holy Communion being celebrated at the close of the evening service. Mr A. Stead at 11 o’clock and the Rev. T. H. Carr at 6.30 o’clock will be the order of the day at Kensington. At Walmataltai at 11 a.m. /Sacrament) the Rev. T. H. Carr will be the preacher, Mr Rex Metson officiating at <.30 p.m. The country appointments will be in accordance with the “plan.” At the Salvation Army. Stafford Street, meetings will be conducted all day to-morrow. At 11 a.m. the subject of Adjutant Radcllffe’s address will be "Separation." Meetings for the young people at 10 a.m. and 2.30 p.m. At 7 p.m. Captain Cobb will speak on "The Worth of a Sinner.” The services in St. Mary’s Parish tomorrow will be as follows: Holy Communion at St. Mary’s and St. John’s, 8 a.m.; at St. Michael’s 9.30 a.m., Matins at St. Mary’s anti St. John’s, 11 a.m. Evensong at St. Mary’s, St. Peter's and All Saints, 6.30 p.m. To-morrow the services at Trinity Presbyterian Church will be conducted by the Rev. A. J. H. Dow. The morning service at Chalmers Presbyterian Church will be conducted to-morrow by the Rev. E. Llywelyn Williams, the subject for his address being "The Saving of an Outcast.” The evening service will be conducted by the Rev. C. A. Kennedy, of Temuka, the subject for the address being “The Presumptuous Sin.” At the morning service the choir will sing “O Lord My God” (Malan), and at the evening service “At Even' ere the Sun was Set" (Turner). The call to Mr Williams will be available for members to sign at both morning and evening services.
