OAMARU T.C. SUNNY MORN WINS 3IG RACE « By Telegraph—Press Association OAMARU, October 23. The Oamaru Trotting Club’s meeting was held In ideal weather. The attendance was large, and the track, after light rain, in fast order. The totalisator handled £15,717, compared with £13,769/10/- last year, and this in spite of the fact that with only two starters in the Derby Trial, investments were very light for this race. Gold Tinge, Sunny Mom and Nelson's Victory were among the leaders for a mile and a half, but two furlongs from the post Sunny Mom came through to win, and Nelson's Victory came round on the outside to beat Roi l'Or for second place, with Belinda fourth. Christmas, a well-known horse trainer, of I'P' J lepark Road, was admitted to hospital this morning with head and shoulder injuries, as a result of being orown from a horse 0.. the training track.
