NEW BLAZER
DECISION OF HIGH SCHOOL OLD BOYS In accordance with a decision arrived at at a special meeting of the Timaru High School Old Boys’ Association held recently, a further meeting was held at the School last night to discuss the position in regard to the proposed new blazer. The meeting, which was presided over by Mr A. N. Leslie, was well attended Mr Leslie traversed the ground in regard to the proposed change, and outlined the recommendation of the special sub-committee. The cloth selected by the sub-committee was displayed. • After a discussion. Mr H. Coxhead moved, and Mr B. Howell seconded, that the proposed new blazer be of plain blue cloth with crested buttons and a distinctive badge, and that the blazer committee, after consulting with the branches of the Association, be empowered to act. An amendment was moved by Mr C. Thomson, and seconded by Mr W. A. Lewis, that the material recommended by the sub-committee, be accepted. The amendment was defeated, and the motion carried. A new sub-committee, consisting of Messrs G. D Virtue, H. Coxhead. and H. Washbotim, was set up to complete matters in connection with the blazer
