TIMARU BRANCH SOCIAL AND PICNIC The Labour Party's social In the Wentworth Hall last evening was a great success, visitors from Fairlie, Waimate and Temuka being present. Mr G. T. Koller, president of the branch, extended a welcome to all, and expressed regret at Rev. Clyde Carr’s Inability to attend an account of hls Parliamentary duties requiring hls presence In Wellington. He also expressed a hope that the present social would be the forerunner of many others. The following contributed items during the evening:—Mr W. Woodward (song), Messrs Hutcheson and Culllmore (comet duet), Mr C. B. Lyons (song), Miss Peggy Waters (clog dance), Mr H. Swan (song), Mr G. Griffiths (competitions), Mrs Walker and Miss Gillan (clog dances). Mr F. Earl was master of ceremonies, and Mrs Woodward (piano) and Mr D. Hutcheson provided the music for the dance.
