The Kini arrived yesterday from Lyttelton and after discharging a part cargo of coal from the West Coast, sailed for Dunedin at night. The Poolta called at Timaru last night from the south and after loading for Wellington, Gisborne and Napier sailed for Lyttelton. The Foxton should be here tomorrow from the south to load for Wellington and Foxton. It is expected that the Gale will be here on Saturday from Dunedin. Wellington and Wanganui are her loading ports. Coptic Due at Daybreak. N The Coptic is expected to berth at daybreak to-day from Lyttelton. The vessel Is to discharge the remainder ,f her Home cargo at Timaru and is lo proceed to Wellington to-morrow prior to departure for Australia to load. Loading Steamers. The Shaw, Savill and Albion steamer Pakeha, which left London for Australia on September 26, will load for Great Britain In New Zealand, where she is due on November 21. Her loading ports have not been announced but she Is to leave New Zealand for London on December 12. The Mahia is to leave London for Australia on October 21, and will load In New Zealand, where she Is due cn December 20. She will leave New Zealand for London on January 6. The Raranga, which is to leave London for Australia on November 7, is scheduled to commence loading in New Zealand on December 28, and to sail for London on January 18. Three Records for Britannic. On arrival at Liverpool on June 11, the motor vessel Britannic established herself on a new footing, for she had then set up three new records. Leaving New York on June 3 and Boston on June 4, she accomplished her Atlantic crossing in 5 days 12 hours 12 minutes, thus beating her previous best by 3 hours 14 minutes. On her best day's run she covered 452 miles. The total distance covered by the motor ship, including calls at Galway and Cobh, was 2,519 miles, covered at being a record for the Britannic since an average speed of 19.054 knots, this she entered the service three years ago. Her third record was that she carried the biggest passenger complement seen so far this year—l,o43 travellers, cabin, tourist and third class. It Is also noted that, just at the end of May, the motor vessel Georgic completed her fastest east-bound run. the ocean crossing being accomplished in 6 days 4 hours, at an average speed of 18.75 knots.
