A LUCKY ESCAPE
CAR STRUCK BY TRAIN. By Telegraph Dress Association PALMERSTON N.. September 25. Jack Moore, a Taihape farmer, had a lucky escape at the Cook Street level crossing when the bumper of his car was struck by an express train. When approaching the crossing Moore’s attention was attracted by a shunting engine in the railway yard, and he did not observe the express coming from the opposite direction. He escaped Injury.
