KITCHEN LOOFAHS

Small loofahs are useful for various purposes in the kitohen. They are excellent for scraping the skin from young carrots and new potatoes. For cleaning the porous stone candles in filters they are much better than brushes, for they cannot damage the soft stone and are easy to sterilise after use. A piece of loofah folded round the end of a flat wooden handle and firmly secured by string passing through holes in the Wood makes a handy and serviceable mop for washing up.
