CHRISTCHURCH WOOL SALE FLEECE WOOL UP 30 PER CENT By Telegraph— Press Association CHRISTCHURCH, August 25. Corresponding with the general advance in wool values, prices at the supplementary wool auction held today showed a substantial advance on those ruling at the March sale in Christchurch. The bulk of the .entry of more them 2000 bales was cleared at auction, some being wool previously passed at auction but now sought by buyers. On the average fleece wool prices to-day advanced up to 30 per cent, on the March basis. Fine fleece advanced 2d to 3d per lb. Low, shabby and dirty wool which, could not be sold at the earlier auctions this year was absorbed very readily. Following was the range of prices— Halfbred— Super llid to 133 d. Average 91d to llid. Inferior 7id to 9id. Merino— Super to 13d. Average 9id to lUd. Inferior Bid to 9id. Crossbred— Average 6id to 7id. Inferior 3d to sd. Threequarter-bred— Average 7id to 83d. Inferior 5d to 7d. Pieces— Super 7id to 93d. Average 5d to 7d. Inferior 21d to 43d. Crutchings— Super 6id to Bid. Average 4id to Sid. Inferior 23d to 4d. Bellies— . Good to super 6d to 9id. Low to medium 35d to 53d. Locks— Good to super 4d to 6d. Low and medium 2id to 33d.
