NO EVIDENCE OF EXCESSES OUTSIDE INTERVENTION RESENTED United Press Association—By Electrlo Telegraph—Copyright (Received August 25, 9.30 p.m.) LONDON, August 24. The Baghdad correspondent of “The Daily Mail” says: Sir Francis Humphreys (British representative) arrived to-day and Immediately had a lengthy conference with King Feisal regarding the situation arising out of the alleged Assyrian massacres, which the Iraqis continue hotly to deny. The Government’s attitude is that the Assyrians are armed rebels and must be dealt with accordingly. A section of the Press Insists that neither Britain nor the League of Nations has any right to interfere. Meanwhile great preparations are being made to welcome the Iraqui Army when it returns to Baghdad to-day from the north.
