Government Meteorologist’s Repork General situation.—An anti-cyclone covers the whole of Australia and extends on to New Zealand. Slight depressions are located respectively to the north and south of the Tasman Sea. Winds—Light to moderate and variable with southerlies ruling. Seas (New Zealand waters) —Smooth to moderate. Eastern Tasman Sea. —Light and variable winds with smooth to moderate seas. Weather—Fair to fine generally, but showers at times in the northern and southern extremities of the Dominion; cold night but mild day temperatures.
