United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright (Received June 25, 6.30 p.m.) BERLIN, June 24. Herr Hitler, by the removal of the Communist and Social Democrat Deputies from the Reichstag has now secured the two-thirds majority necessary for the alteration of the constitution. BABY BONUS IN GERMANY. SUPPORT OF NAZI CAUSE ESSENTIAL. United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—copyrignt LONDON, June 23. The Berlin correspondent of “The Daily Mail” says: “The Government is granting a bonus of 250/- per baby to the newly-wedded, who will secure a housekeeping loan of £SO. A quarter of the loan is remitted for the first child, and four wipe out the entire amount. The loan is only granted in return for the whole-hearted support of the Nazi cause.” Boy Scouts Dissolved. The Boy Scouts and similar organisations, except the Catholic Group, have been dissolved throughout Germany, and their funds and property seized, preparatory to welding into a “National Youth Group,” in pursuance of Herr Hitler’s claim that Germany’s youth belongs exclusively to the Nazis. On the ground that “it is unjust to make the public pay for criminal or disoyal elements,” the political opponents of the Nazis, who are in preventive custody, are being compelled to pay the expenses of detention, also for the upkeep of moneyless prisoners. Catholic Paper Suspended. “The Bayerische Kurier,” the official organ of the Catholic People’s Party, has been suspended for a week for reporting the arrest of priests, which, in conjunction with the arrest of Catholic editors, is deemed a prelude to the banning of the party, several members of which have already been dismissed. Persons in preventive custody must bear the cost of their own imprisonment. Nazi Embarrassment. The Nazi headquarters is embarrassed by the discovery that Mr Robert Linderer, author of the “Flag Song,” the official anthem of the German Navy, was a Jew. The song, which the ex-Kaiser loved, was so patriotic and popular that it is included in the Nazi song-book, containing only the gems of German poetry.

The newspapers have been ordered to print prominently in their front pages, the official report that “foreign aeroplanes of an unknown type,” appeared over Berlin this afternoon and dropped pamphlets insulting the Government. The Air Minister, General Goering. said that as the air police do not possess aircraft, several sporting machines pm-sued them, but could not overtake the intruders. The newspapers have also been ordered to publish an official statement strongly protesting about Germany’s defencelessness in the air. The statement adds: "Pamphlets were dropped to-day; high incendiary bombs may be dropped to-morrow. Why have we no aeroplanes?” Nobody seems to have seen the mystery aeroplanes, Both the air police and the aerodrome authorities declare they have no knowledge of the visit.
