WINTER SHOW

COMPREHENSIVE EXHIBITION AT WAIMATE. The Waimate Winter Show and Poultry Association’s annual exhibition opened in Waimate yesterday. In the absence of the president (Mr E. C. d’Auvergne) through illness, the show arrangements were left in the hands of Mr T. Wilce (vice-president) and Committee, who are deserving of praise for the facilities provided for the display of the exhibits. The show is

being held this year in the Premier Garage premises in High Street, which proved eminently suitable. During the afternoon and evening a large number of patrons visited the show, and the high quality of the exhibits was favourably commented upon. The show will continue to-day, and this evening an auction sale of produce will be held, and winners of the competitions will be announced. Following is a list of awards:— FARM PRODUCE.
