EMPIRE TRADE
STILL A FAIRY TALE. POSITION OF NEW ZEALAND BUTTER. By Telegraph—Press Association HAMILTON, June 23. Mr J. W. Sutton, director of the British Wholesale Society, addressing the National Dairy Conference, said his Society was determined to build up Empire trade. New Zealand had still something to learn, if she was going to feed Britain with butter and cheese. In some European countries dairying progress was far more intensive than ever it had been before. He reminded the Conference about the welfare of the New Zealand producer. He wished them every success, and hoped that something stronger, more deficit. and more stable might be done to make Empire trade a reality and not the fairy tale that it was now.
