RETURNED SOLDIERS’ ASSOCIATION.
The president (Mr W. McClUre) occupied the chair at a meeting of the committee of the Geraldine Returned Soldiers’ Association on Friday evening. The sub-committee appointed to deal with the relief of sick members and their families presented a report, and the measures which had been taken were approved. . The president was appointed the branch’s delegate at the Returned Soldiers’ Associations’ Conference. Accounts amounting to £lB/17/11 were passed for payment. GOLF. Feilden Foursome. A foursome for trophies presented by Mr G. N. Feilden was played on the Geraldine Club’s links on Saturday afternoon, when the best cards handed in were as follows: A. A. Readdie and E. P. Bennett (16), 2 up. D. Macdonald and D. J. Lack (9), 3 down. P. G Withers and E. E. Scott (13), 3 down. G. N. Feilden and G. Glen (13), 4 down. A. D. Sharpe and W. Webb (12), 8 down. R. Patrick and E. R. Quinness (16), 8 down. G. R. Ney and A. C. Symington (16), 8 down. A. Jones and E. Fairhall (22), 12 down. Ladies’ Bogey Foursome. The trophies presented by Mr and Mrs G. Olen for a women’s bogey foursome, was won by Miss Sharpe and Miss Rattray who returned a card of 2 down. CRIBBAGE. The following is the draw for the fourth round in the Geraldine and District Cribbage Association’s competitions to-morrow evening:— Oddfellows v. South End in Miss Turner’s Rooms. Citizens v.
