MINIATURE RIFLES

OTIPUA CLUB. The Otipua Miniature Rifle Club held their weekly shoot on 6th June. There was a fair attendance, and the shooting showed an improvement on last week’s. C. Tregonning and W. Barker tied in the shoot off for the President's trophy, and will shoot off next week. J. Hill won the weekly button with 78 off the rifle. The following were the best scores: J. Hill 78. L. Jackson 77. E. Tregoning 77. B. Watson 77, J. Tacon 76, N. Jackson 76, H. Arden 73. E. Hampton 75, A. Brehaut 74. R. Stewart 74, A. Hill 74, W. Barker 73. T. Hughes 73. R. Jackson 73. D. Tavendale 70, J. Brehaut 69, F. Lunham 66. CLAREMONT CLUB. The Claremont Miniature Rifle Club held their weekly shoot last Tuesday evening. The weather was very cold and stormy, and affected the attendance considerably. The shooting was well below standard, and it was the worst shoot this season. J. Green was top scorer with 78. and for next best, there were three with 76. Last week’s trophy was won by M. Smith, and for this week's three tied and will shoot off with the following handicaps:—J. Green scr. Miss L. Armstrong, J. Kelly 2. Arrangements were made to shoot a match against the Fairview Club on the Fairview range next Monday evening.
