DEMONSTRATED BY EVEREST CLIMBERS. United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright LONDON, June 8. The Darjeeling correspondent of “The Daily Telegraph" says; “The wireless operators attached to the Everest Expedition achieved a remarkable transmission on Wednesday, when they called up Government House, when the Governor of Bengal conversed with Messrs Shetsbeare and Frank Smythe at the base camp.” Mr Shetsbeare said all members of the expedition were in good health. Mr Smythe said it must not be thought they were beaten yet. The Governor replied that he was following the progress of the climbers with the greatest admiration and wished them success.
