THEFT OF WIRELESS VALVES. By Telegraph—Press Association WELLINGTON, June 7. A watersider, William John Murdoch I (46), was fined £5 by Mr E. Page, S.M.. for the theft or three wirleess valves, the property of the New Zealand Shipping Coy. The police stated that when the consignment was landed 50 were missing. It was learned that the accused had sold three valves to a friend for 10/-. and these were proved to be some of the missing ones. The accused, when interviewed, said he found the valves while working in the hold the day the consignment was being discharged. The default was fixed at a month’s imprisonment.
