A Communist Party in Ireland was launched during a two days’ Congress at which Mr James Larkin, presiding, declared that the formation of the party would be an impetus to the toilers of Ireland and the Empire in the struggle to smash the Empire. Other speakers declared that the party aimed at an independent republic ruled by the Irish workers. IRISH LAWS. CHANGES IN CONSTITUTION IN FREE STATE. The Government is introducing a Bill to alter the Constitution, reducing to two months the statutory period of eighteen months, that the Senate can delay legislation abolishing the Senate.
