FIRES
OUTBREAK IN PRIVATE HOTEL. By Telegraph—Press Association WAIPUKURAU, June 6. Fire broke out this afternoon in the room of the proprietress of the Leviathan Private Hotel, Mrs Fergusson, who lost £25 in notes, which she left in a drawer of a dressing table. The origin of the fire is a mystery. Tiie room was empty at the time, and the door was looked, but the window was open. The room was badly charred; also the outside wall. The Brigade stopped further spread of the fire.
