Tengawai be played at Albury on Saturday, 10th June. —Carried. It was decided to grant 10/- to the Mt. Nessing school towards the cost of a football. The South Canterbury Rugby Union wrote asking that, if possible, it be arranged that the annual match Mackenzie v. South Canterbury be played at Pah-lie on Saturday, 17th June. Failing this date, the next available date would be 30th September. After discussion Mr Geaney moved: “That in view of the late starting of the local competitions, and owing to having lost a week through the seven-a-side tournament, and as a match on 17th June would necessitate local teams standing down for another week, the date suggested is not suitable. Further that a Saturday in July should be set aside for this match, and suggesting the Ist July as suitable to this Sub-Union.” —This was seconded by Mr Wall and can-led. The question of the number of rounds to be played in the competitions was discussed. It was decided that a sub-committee of one member from each club be appointed to discuss the matter; they to have power to finally decide on the number of rounds to be played. Messrs Cooper. Geaney and Berry were appointed to discuss tire question and finally arrange. Messrs A. Forrester. A. Fleming and G. Berry were appointed selectors.
