Mr L. B. Rowe, who has been manager of the Invercargill branch of the Union Bank of Australia for the last six and a half years, has been transferred to the management of the Nelson branch. The following have been appointed members of the Winchester Domain Board Messrs R. Maddren, T. Harrison, T. H. Langford, J. Philp, G, V. Gudsell, J. A. Paterson and L. H. Orbell. Dr, H. S. Billcliff, who has been medical superintendent at the Ashburton Public Hospital for over nine years, tendered his resignation at the monthly meeting of the Ashburton Hospital Board yesterday. He said that for a long time he had been happy in his work, but unpleasantries had been brought to bear. His work was becoming increasingly unhappy, and he considered the best thing for him to do was to get out. Appeal boards to hear appeals in connection with the grading or classification of teachers for 1933 will consist of Messrs T. R. Cresswell (chairman), J. Porteous, T. B. Strong and F. G. A. Stuckey (Education Department representatives). F. H. Campbell and J. A. Colquhoun (secondary school teachers' representatives), F. W. Martin and R. J. Thompson (Technical School teachers’ representatives), W. F. Abel. F. A. Garry, G. F. Griffiths, and Margaret Emma Magill (primary school representatives).
