A verdict of suicide was returned at the inquest on Cecil Henry Aplin, farmer, who was found dead with a gunshot wound in his head at Rhandallah on April 16. KILLED BY MOTOR CAR. By Telegrauh - Press Association AUCKLAND, May 8. David Ellis, aged 17, storeman, was found unconscious and gravely injured lying on the main road 'through Takapuna at 6 o'clock last night. He died almost immediately in a nearby house. Death was apparently due to head injuries. Detectives and police have since been searching for a car which, it is believed, struck him and which is reported to have carried no headlights.
