TREASURY ISSUES OVER SUBSCRIBED.

Brit'sh Official W'rdess (Received May 7. 5.5 p.m.) RUGBY, May 5. Tenders for £50,000,000 21 per cent, conversion loan of 1944-1949, and Treasury Bills were opened by the Bank of England to-day. £87,230,000 was applied for, and £3,400,000 conversion loan and £46 000,000 in bills were allotted.

Applicants for the loan at £94/3 and above were received in full.

For bills dated 92 days from Monday to Friday, tenders at £99/17/-. received about 24 per cent. Tenders above that, were received in full. Those dated 91 days from Saturday at £99/17/9, and above, were received in full.
