Mr. Arthur Hill, a Brighton man. believes he has discovered the spo* where treasure worth millions of pounds lies buried on Cocos Island, and he is planning an expedition t > the Pacific to recover it. The treasure is reputed to have been taken to Cocos Island from Lima, the Peruvian cap - tal, and Mr. Hill says that he learned the secret of its hiding place from an old text-book which he bought at a second-hand bookstall. “I found a faded chart of Cocos Island in the back of the book, and this indicated the whereabouts of the treasure," Mr. Hill said.
