United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright MOSCOW, May 4. Embassy officials visited Thornton and MacDonald, the imprisoned Vickers’ engineers, and found them in the best of health, with no complaints. They are allowed to receive books and letters. The food at present is not as good as formerly.
Messrs W. H. Thornton and W. MacDonald were the only two of six British engineers charged with espionage, machine wrecking and bribery to be sentenced to terms of imprisonment. The others were deported.
