NEXT PARADE
The next uniform parade will take place on Tuesday, May 30. when a field parade is required to prepare for inspection by the Minister of Defence, accompanied by Major General Sin-clair-Burgess. The Hon. J. G. Cobbe will inspect the men in the ranks and the company will then carry on with a programme of machine gun training. Some preparation of this work is required and a full parade is necessary. The inspection will take place on the following Monday, June 5. The men of the company are very keen to make a good showing on this occasion, and in oi'der to efisure that there are no deficiencies in the work all absentees from the 30th May parade will have to obtain leave.
Lieutenants F. E. Wilkes and B. Baxter axe at preseixt on leave from the company owing to their absence from the training centre on holiday.
The advanced training class was continued on Friday under the tutorship of Second Lieutenant Mason, who dealt fully with the weapons of the battalion, ammunition and supplies and answered the questions of the candidates.
