MAN WITH AXE. By Telegraph—Press Association WELLINGTON. April 24. Annoyed at a charge of 1/6 for a meal he had in a restaurant on Saturday afternoon, Andrew Zimmerman (58), struck at a waitress with an axe, but she avoided the blow. The girl's cries attracted the cook, on whom Zimmerman also attempted to use the axe.
Zimmerman was charged before Mr McNeil, S.M., to-day, with assault, and was fined £2.
