PRESIDENT CONGRATULATED ON KNIGHTHOOD. By Telegraph—Press Association WELLINGTON, March 27. Congratulattions to Sir Alexander Gray on being accorded the honour of knighthood were extended at the annual meeting of the New Zealand Law Society, of which he was re-elected president. Various speakers said the honour was well deserved. Replying, Sir Alexander Gray said he regarded his knighthood as a compliment to the legal profession. Mr C. H. Treadwell (Wellington) was re-elected vice-president of the Society, and Mr P. Levi (Wellington) was re-elected treasurer. Mr W; A. Hawkins, who retired from the secretaryship after years of service, was presented with a radiogramophone.
